listening

The art of listening is not the easiest thing in the world to do.  Spiritual Directors will listen to your story, ask you questions, walk you through excercises where you sit in the Word of God and be still and listen to the Holy Spirit.



We are encouraged to be still and know that He is God - and we are told that the Word of God revives our soul, makes wise the simple, warns the servant, enlightens our eyes.



A Spiritual Director will listen to you and encourage you to practice the art of listening to God and observing the many areas where he is active in your life.



You will be prayed for, your soul will be cared for - and most of all you will constantly be pointed toward Jesus Christ, the love of your soul.

THE LOVE OF GOD

 

God is an ever present help in times of trouble.  He stands at the door and knocks for you to let him in but sometimes the busy-ness of life and the troubles of our human existence distract us from His small voice.  We find it helpful to walk with people who will help us listen to the voice of God and realize the patterns of God's movement that are all around us.

More than anything Christ demonstrates his love for us in that he gave his life for us.  While we had turned away from God - he came to us.

 

Today, as we experience that work of Grace in our lives we give ourselves back to God for His glory and our joy.  We encourage you to give yourself to God in intimate relationship with God your Father.
